Featuring the world's best food wine Lambrusco and much more

Are you one of those people who either can't name a single wine from this region or perhaps have difficult memories of the sweet Lambrusco of your youth? Then you have the chance to experience something completely different and try wines that really match the fantastic food. We will taste three different real Lambruscos and three other wines, all from local grapes. The inhabitants of the region have always understood what real Lambrusco is, a dry and light sparkling wine from one of the red grapes of the Lambrusco family, a food wine without competition that is served cool with any of the region's specialties, such as Parma ham, Parmesan, spaghetti bolognese, etc. A wine that perfectly glides through a whole menu and matches all imaginable dishes.

This evening we will taste wines from a producer, TerraQuilia, located in the hills south of Modena, the hometown of the genuine balsamic vinegar.
TerraQuilia is a relatively new producer that started 20 years ago with the ambition to go back to the roots with minimal intervention in the vineyards and winery. They work traditionally with natural yeast and slow fermentation processes, so-called “metodo ancestrale”, ie the wines are bottled with some residual sugar and allowed to ferment in the bottle.

The wines from TerraQuilia we are tasting this evening together with local food specialties from this region are:
Sanrosé Zero 2022, Sangiovese sparkling wine
Terrebianche col fondo 2020, Pignoletto and Trebbiano sparkling wine (not disgorged)

Il Nativo Ancestrale 2020, Pignoletto and Trebbiano sparkling wine (disgorged after 36 months on the lees)
Falcorubens col fondo 2019, Lambrusco Grasparossa with long aging in bottle (not disgorged)
Falconero Zero 2019, Lambrusco Grasparossa with a little Malbo Gentile, long ageing on the lees and disgorged.
Falconero di Monte Alfonso 2018, Lambrusco Grasparossa with a little Malbo Gentile from Terraquilia's best vineyard at high altitude. Not disgorged.

Possibly, in addition to these wines, there may be some surprise, whoever comes will see...

Classic wines from classic land that are now better than ever
6 selected top wines & entrecote SEK 995.

Tuscany is one of Italy's most historic wine regions, with Chianti Classico and Brunello di Montalcino at the forefront. In addition, so-called super-Tuscans on Bordeaux grapes more in modern times have contributed some real icon wines such as Masseto, Ornellaia and Sassicaia. Umbria, which goes by the name "Italy's green heart", is for most people a bit of a white spot when it comes to wine, despite the fact that one of Italy's most exciting red wines, based on the Sagrantino grape, comes from here.
The wines from the region are now better than ever, but bargains can still be found. This evening, we therefore go wild on a number of great red wines from different parts of Tuscany and Umbria. The wines are really high class and represent some of the best the region has to offer. For this, we run a tasting plate that accompanies the wines.
The wines we are trying this evening are tentatively the following (PI=Private import, TS=Temporary assortment Systembolaget):
Montecalvi Chianti Classico, 2021 (PI approx. SEK 270)
Le Ragnaie Brunello di Montalcino, 2019 (TS 23 Aug SEK 699)
Brancaia Ilatraia, 2020 (TS 23 Aug SEK 559)
    Pacina, 2015 (TS SEK 269)
Avignonesi Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, 2019 (TS SEK 299)
Arnaldo Caprai Collepiano Montefalco Sagrantino, 2019 (PI approx. SEK 480)
